THREE EASY WAYS TO WAKE UP MOTIVATED

WE’VE ALL BEEN THERE. THE TO-DO LIST IS ENDLESS AND PEOPLE ARE COUNTING ON YOU TO BE READY FOR WHATEVER THE DAY BRINGS, BUT FORCING YOURSELF OUT OF BED IS EASIER SAID THAN DONE. LUCKILY, THERE ARE SOME SIMPLE STEPS YOU CAN TAKE TO WEAN OFF OF THE SNOOZE BUTTON AND FEEL FRESH:

CHANGE YOUR MINDSET

This is nearly as hard as getting out of bed, but in order to reap any benefits, a little effort is required. By believing you can do something, and striving to do so, you’ll eventually find a routine (be patient, it takes a couple months to form a habit) and be inspired to do your best work everyday!

PLAN AHEAD

How would you like waking up and knowing that three things can be automatically be checked off of your to-do list? Accomplish this by planning ahead. Set your coffee pot to brew right as your alarm goes off – there’s nothing better than waking up to the smell of fresh coffee. Put together an outfit the night before – better yet, plan the whole week’s wardrobe on Sunday night. And write down everything that needs to be done the next day before bed – this’ll help you fall asleep with a clear mind.

Now, if you’re thinking, “Great, that’s just more for me to squeeze in at the end of the night,” refer back to no. 1.

SURROUND YOURSELF WITH POSITIVITY

Seeing is really believing. Whether it’s a canvas with three kind words on your bedside table or a screensaver on your phone with a sweet, little phrase, take time to read positive messages and really let them resonate. Doing this right as you get up can set the tone for your day and help you wake on the right side of the bed.

EMILY
